Harness the Future of Technology to Maximize Engagement with Your Brand

With our customized Augmented Reality platform, we convert your target audience into paying customers with an experience they’ll remember.

Traditional Augmented Reality experiences require a budget of $100-200k for an app that receives a spike in user following and then is promptly deleted from users’ phones, soon to be forgotten.

LDP takes a different approach. We operate from a lean startup model and believe in building app-less experiences that engage customers faster, and with a lower (overall) build cost.

Is customized augmented reality just a trend?

“If not us, who? If not now, when? When do we get this right? We have an opportunity to do something great right now!” -JFK

The augmented reality market is expected to be worth over 18 billion in 2023. For reference, the same market was worth 1.8 billion in 2018, then 3.5 billion in 2019. Augmented reality is a rapidly growing market and getting your foot in the door now puts you ahead of the competition.

Our augmented reality solutions do not require special AR glasses in order to be viewed, nor do they even require coercing a user to download an app. It’s a simple and effective way of catching attention and standing out on mobile devices and, with the advent of Web AR, in the browser.

I want to get ahead of my competition. Should I use AR to do this?

In 2017, a whopping 70% of Americans did not even know know what augmented reality is. While this number has surely increased by now, in 2021 only 28% of Americans use AR at least one time per month.

Tech giants like Facebook and Apple have invested heavily in augmented reality over the last 5 years and, as a result, the use and awareness of AR is becoming ever-increasingly more widespread.

And their investments have paid off, too!  In Facebook’s first quarter of 2021, both revenue and net income increased “48% and 94% respectively year over year to $26.2 billion and $9.5 billion.” Advertising, the primary income generator at Facebook, can not take all of the credit. The “Other” line item, which contains Facebook’s virtual and augmented reality division (as well as its e-commerce platform), demonstrated a 146% increase in revenue in the 2021 Q1 report.

How do I view AR?

Augmented reality can be viewed on an AR-compatible smartphone or tablet. Augmented reality has traditionally been viewed on these devices through the user downloading then opening an augmented reality app. The app then takes the view coming through the device’s camera and overlays digital assets on top of the backdrop of the real world.

These days forcing the user to download your app in order have your brand’s augmented reality experience is no longer necessary. AR experiences can be triggered on a device by scanning a QR code or clicking a link. Just like in the augmented reality app, the digital assets are overlaid on top of the stream of data from the device’s camera, and users “see” the augmented reality experience integrated with the real world on their device’s screen.

What devices will AR work on?

You can view augmented reality with any smartphone or tablet produced in the last several years. More specifically, iPhone 6 and Android 7.0 are the oldest devices that are AR compatible. The newer your device, the better AR experience you will have.
